The symbol of the dragon means so much too me. Mainly it represents a level of spiritual achievement, a state of inner integration and balance. The Dragon is the joy of spiritual realization floating in the space of being, the pure awareness of being moving through sacred space, the soul in grace with God.
I always want to design my own dragon, take bits and bobs from different animals and paste them together. I also wanted to communicate the idea of yin and yang, the polar opposites that are inherent in everything by using black and white paint.
Stephen Humphries Born Liverpool England 1979 Stephen has a range of styles from thick expressive paintings of trees to tight detailed paintings of Greek gods. Since achieving a B.A degree in Fine Art in 2001 at the age of 21 he has had many exhibitions in various places in England, Europe and Thailand.
