Description
This is a bright energetic painting of a red dragon playing with a flaming pearl.
The Legendary Chinese Dragon, probably the most powerful symbol of chinese mythology and chinese folklore. Coming in many styles and forms they are most commonly depicted as snake like with horns and legs, their hands having 3 or 5 claws. Dragons can represent the different energies within man, his spiritual power and his evolutionary potential. But more than that they represent the forces of nature that man interacts with. In yin and yang terminology, a dragon is yang and complements a yin fenghuang.
They can traditinaly symbolize magical powers such as control over the elements. It is also a symbol of power and good luck for worthy people.
In China exceptional people are compared to dragons, while incapable people with lesser creatures creatures such as worms. Hoping that one's son will turn into a dragon is a common wish for Chinese parents.
The colour red suggests a primal energy, the fiery, sexual, magnetic side of energy that one can invoke in ones body.
The pearl can represent the heart of man.
